Job Summary The Education and Employment Verifications Specialist is primarily responsible for processing education and employment verification services related to pre-employment background screening applications. This position is accountable for working within ScoutLogic's client guidelines as well as the Federal Credit Reporting Act's (FCRA) regulations to provide minimal turnaround time and high-quality results on verification research requests. Reports to: Vice President, Operations - Pod Leader Working Hours: 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
CST. Responsibilities Retrieves and enters a variety of information from various computer and web-based systems related to an applicant's education and employment history Searches and retrieves information from files, computer records, and other documents Locates information and documents quickly and accurately in accordance with applicable laws and procedures Supplies timely updates and notifications of delays to clients Understands the verifications terminology and interprets results Communicates effectively with relevant institutions to retrieve additional information as needed Performs duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred – specializing in Criminal Justice a plus 1 to 3+ years related work experience Familiarity with FCRA a plus Familiarity with TazWorks background screening software a plus Intermediate knowledge of Google business applications a plus Strong familiarity with the internet, including internet research experience Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills Excellent English speaking skills Independent and detail oriented Competencies/Personality Traits Problem-solving Detail-Oriented Calm under Pressure Team Oriented Very Strong Communication Skills Prior Experience Data Analyst, Data Entry, Research Assistant. Any position where basic analysis is required, following detailed directions, performing repeated tasks consistently and accurately and measuring progress against benchmarks is common.
