The Sourcing Manager is responsible for Corporate Spend globally and focuses on project delivery with activities including requirements gathering, market analysis, qualifying and selecting suppliers with the relevant Business Partners and stakeholders, as well as non-sourcing projects such as demand management and process improvement.

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for Corporate Spend globally and focuses on project delivery with activities including requirements gathering, market analysis, qualifying and selecting suppliers with the relevant Business Partners and stakeholders, as well as non-sourcing projects such as demand management and process improvement.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the implementation of sourcing plans for the sub-category & deliver savings targets following engagement in the target setting process.
- Manage strategic sub-category supplier relationships, and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, and report on suppliers’ performance.
- Maintain strong relationship with Regional Category team and business stakeholders for opportunities to aggregate demand and generate additional leverage
- Ensure operational Procurement requests are executed in line with category strategies, and in compliance with relevant policies and operating procedures, including preferred supplier agreements.
- Contribute to overall savings opportunity identification and delivery
- Responsible to ensure the right balance between business needs and Novartis’ strategy
- Accountable to work with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives

- University/Advanced degree is required, Master’s degree in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field is preferred
- 5 years of Procurement experience and contracting experience
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to deal with C-Level stakeholders
- Solid experience in navigating in global, matrix organizations and across geographies and cultures
- Extensive experience in sourcing processes (e.g. RFI/RFQ), negotiation strategies, project management, good communication and collaboration skills as well as market analysis capabilities to drive operational excellence
- Fluent English
