Job Purpose: The successful candidates will lead strategic planning and development of entire medical services operations, clinical and non-clinical, with the view to ensuring an organized, cost effective, and evidence-based level of care, in an environment moving towards 24 hour operation. Job Accountabilities - Forward thinking approach to patient care, responsible to develop and maintain an exceptional reputation, in terms of clinical care and customer service. Responsible for planning and implement strategic direction to ensure exceptional standards are achieved and maintained. - Collaborate closely with SVP Medical Services in order to ensure the cost effective and timely alignment of services across the department. Drive understanding and agreement from senior management team peers in order to optimize services. - Develop and implement a framework to ensure the optimization of quality, practice operations and clinical affairs. Ensure the enhancement of processes and initiatives to include operations improvement initiatives, medical ethics, regulatory requirements, budgeting, third party contracting, quality improvement initiatives and other planning activities. Understand and drive business planning to ensure the provision of a service that meets future growth. - Work collaboratively with, and influence when required, other stakeholders, including senior leaders from line department, HR Business Support, HR Employee Services, as well as building strong partnerships with external stakeholders such as GCAA, DOH. - Manage the provision of quality, targeted and timely information, and communicate this to peers in the senior management team in an effective manner. Ensure data is utilized to drive engagement and understanding across the clinical and non-clinical operations, as well as to inform a set of focused, operationally critical KPIs. - Ensure the planning, development and implementation of clinical, aviation specific and other educational/development programmes in order to support the evolution of skills and knowledge of clinical and non-clinical practitioners. - Management of operational budget, driving revenue streams/cost savings where appropriate. Ensure strong financial management practices are implemented, and that efficiencies and identified and implemented across the department. - Lead the strategic planning of technology solutions in the operational environment; drive innovative and cutting edge IT solutions that are customer focused and agile. - Leading and developing a strong culture of support, excellence and development across all the teams. Ensure that development opportunities are given to team members, that regulatory compliance is achieved when it comes to team members skills and qualifications, as well as open and transparent rostering and staffing models are adopted. Utilise strategic leadership skills to ensure the teams are motivated, understand the priorities and develop communication methods that ensure an inclusive environment
Qualifications & Experience: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Degree in a medical related field with emphasis on operations management Experience 8+ years experience in Clinical operations management in a medium to large organisation Knowledge & Skills Post-registration experience, including at a managerial level, preferably within a primary / occupational / aviation health care setting Proven leadership / managerial skills Strong research and analytical skills
