What you will be doing
To support our ambitious growth we are looking for a motivated Transport Manager (m/f/d) to join our operations department in Legnica. We are specifically looking for motivated and engaged rock stars who want to bring their (and our) PS on the road and go the extra mile to achieve this.
Our operations team is responsible for the purchasing of transport capacity, the overall supervision of single transports as well as the provision of assistance to freight carriers. Dependent on your center of interests and background you will have the following different functions in our operations team:
- You bring our load on the road! Thereby You are responsible for the entire transaction, from purchasing freight capacities, to quality checks up to billing
- During the transport You are the primary contact person for all parties involved (e.g. carriers, customers, loading and unloading places, etc.) and in the case of complications you independently bring about unassisted solutions
- During the process of transport management You get to know new carriers with the goal to develop a cooperative relationship in order to secure long-term capacities
- With all tasks You consider how single steps of the process can be digitized to improve the productivity of yourself, your team and the entire operations department and present those propositions to the product team
- You are an open-minded and communicative person who wins over partners with our vision and acts as an in-house ambassador for our long-term goals.
- You start and run operative steps and bigger projects independently and while doing so include all relevant parties.
- You feel comfortable in a startup environment, are hands-on, work agilely and stay focused even during busy times
- You have completed training or a finished (dual) course of study and ideally already have collected professional experience - know-how in the field of logistics and road transportation (e.g. work as a dispatcher)
- You communicate excellently in Polish, German and English
