Job Description
OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Community Development Fund (CDF) Driver to be based in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya or Cabarroguis, Quirino on a Fixed Term employment (6 months) to ensure proper use and maintenance of light vehicles in accordance with the Company’s procedure. The role will report to the Sr. Supervisor – Community Development Fund (CDF) Civil Engineer.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensures that the vehicle has the required safety paraphernalia such as seat belts, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, etc. per Company's safety standards
- Ensures documents or any merchandise to be transported are properly recorded, handled and safely kept while on travel and such be acknowledged by recipients in good condition
- Adheres to all Philippine transport regulations
- Always shows care and accountability of the assigned vehicle including monitoring of expenses related to its use
- Facilitates the renewal of External Affairs & Communications vehicles’ registration
- Observes the confidentiality of information for sensitive matters discussed inside the vehicle by passengers while on travel
- Actively participates in the Environment and Safety activities with the clearance of the section's Supervisor (i.e. Tree-planting, safety audits, etc)
Qualifications
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold Way
- At least High School or Vocational Course graduate
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in driving
- With a valid Professional Driver’s license
- With TESDA Driving NC II
- Knowledge of Metro Manila routes is an advantage
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Drive for continuous improvement and innovation
