About the role
This role is central to our team, bringing the service plans from across the organisation to fruition. The role is responsible for supporting our programmes to deliver through sound advice on methodology and process, as well as reporting the progress and escalations of our change programmes through the delivery boards. The role holds several key strategic relationships, both internal to the team, and within the wider organisation and CIOS integrated care system, to drive change and improvement across our services.
This role is the conduit between a range of programmes, managing their dependencies and highlighting opportunities for cross working.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include:
- Oversight of a range of programmes and projects
- Governance and reporting to delivery board including escalation management
- Stakeholder engagement including SRO, SRM and Delivery Board Chairs
- Risks and issue management
- KPI and benefit reporting through governance structures
- Alignment to standards set out by the Portfolio Office
- Line management of programme and/or project managers including adherence to HR policies and processes
- Deputising for the Head of Portfolio Office as required.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Essential criteria
- Educated to L7/ Masters level in a relevant area of academic practice or equivalent experience working at a commensurate band/ level
- Recognised programme or project management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience of delivering service change and transformational programmes in complex and challenging environments
- Experience of line management, and managing a team without direct line management (project and programme teams)
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans accordingly
- Good understanding of strategy development, the business planning process and budget management
- Ability to manage a range of concurrent, dependent and interdependent programmes of work across a range of service areas across the CIOS integrated care system
- Works professionally in line with the Business Development Team values of Integrity, Growth, Achievement and Quality
