We have an opportunity for a top Administrative Assistant located in the Los Angeles/South Bay area. We are currently looking for a self-motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the Asbestos Personal Injury Law Firm and effective case management. In our administrative assistant roles, you will provide various administrative and office support duties on various projects as needed, such as Word processing, filing and faxing, mailing, copy jobs, etc. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of management and senior staff to support simple to moderately complex, confidential legal matters.

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support and enhance office effectiveness
- Handle communication with clients, witnesses, third-party vendors, court clerks, etc.
- Locate and develop case-relevant information
- Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
- Maintains files for matters of moderate complexity.
- Performs other administrative duties as requested.
Skills:
- Some working experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Computer literacy is a must - including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in English
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Requires superior spelling and grammar, verbal and written use of the English language, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables;
- Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones, and office equipment;
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and E-Filing.
- A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected;
- Confidence to learn new programs when necessary;
- Complete reliability in handling confidential information;
- Must think clearly and deal professionally and calmly with others under stressful conditions.
