Directly supervise the site management construction staff. The Manager of Site Construction is responsible for overall site construction management and delivering all projects safely.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain site safety to required standards.

  • Achieve contractual schedule

  • Ensure achievement of highest quality levels on site.

  • Provide clear direction for Vestas Site Management personnel.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with Client and Subcontractors (if applicable)

  • Resourcing and staff management

  • Installation and commissioning cost management - (Site spend, Pre-calc, Post-calc)

  • Alignment with internal bid management and procurement departments


Qualifications

Preferred degree/Diploma in Construction Management or more than 5 years experience in a people management position


Experience:

(Types of experiences expected or required to fully carry out the position, e.g. specific industry experience)

  • Previous experience with site construction management - 5 to 10 years.

  • Experience in people management

  • Cost awareness and customer orientation.

  • Managed teams in a major project portfolio environment,

  • Developed and implementation of best practice systems and procedures.

  • Supervised sub-contractors in remote site locations e.g. crane, excavation, electrical, civil.

  • Management and reporting of budgetary requirements.

  • Experience providing service with direct customer interface.

  • Experience in high stress situations in major construction management environment.


Competencies

  • Good English communications skills.

  • Understanding and intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to construction specific software programs.

  • Customer Service and understanding customer needs.

  • Ability to display Practical hands on approach to the construction operations.

  • Good professional Verbal communication skills

  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Effective choices making.

  • Continual system improvement.

  • Trouble shooting.

  • Team leadership, supervision and management.
