Administrative Assistant-Museum
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pay Rate: $21.54 - $25.34, DOE
The Administrative Assistant-Museum provides a wide variety of clerical, administrative and staff support services to the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Associates degree preferred.
Experience:
- One year experience performing clerical and administrative work.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and internet.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.
- Exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
- Ability to type 35 words per minute.
- Knowledge of applicable, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is preferred.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
