PURPOSE:
Service real estate loan accounts in regards to taxes and escrow accounts.
DIMENSIONS:
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining county and city real estate taxes. Frequent contact with members, credit union employees, and tax offices.
DUTIES:
Process county and city real estate taxes in a timely manner.
Assist members and credit union employees with real estate taxes, payment changes, and private mortgage insurance related questions.
Prepare and correct yearly escrow analyses.
Work closely with tax authorities to remedy delinquent situations.
Address daily incoming and outgoing telephone calls, faxes, emails, and mail.
Monitor and maintain loan information on the Mortgage Servicing System regarding taxes, payment changes, and private mortgage insurance.
Meet crucial deadlines for daily activities and department reports.
Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by the manager.
Must possess and demonstrate attention to details, accuracy of work, mathematical skills, as well as the ability to manage the pressures of deadlines.
Must demonstrate strong organizational and multi-tasking skills effectively in order to meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and computer databases.
Must be able to work independently as well as with others with minimal supervision.
Must possess a high level of self-control, self-confidence, positive attitude, and neat appearance.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to speak English fluently.
Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers.
Must be cordial in all interactions with members and co-workers.
JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting with physical proximity to other employees.
Some background noise from other employees, copy machine, and telephone.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Job requires a substantial amount of sitting.
Use hand and fingers to press keys on a computer keyboard to enter or retrieve information.
Use hands and fingers to press telephone keypad and lift telephone receiver.
Must be able to comprehend phone calls.
Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
