About the Role:
Ferrero Luxembourg Headquarters is looking for a Cybersecurity Offence Intern to join our Cybersecurity Department.
Thanks to this exciting and challenging opportunity you will have the possibility to develop a custom cyber reconnaissance and OSINT framework to automatically discover all the exposed assets related to Ferrero (e.g., domains, IPs, ASNs, email addresses, etc.), identify vulnerabilities, configuration non-compliance and other issues across all systems, infrastructure, and applications in Ferrero IT & OT environments.
Consequently, you will develop and practically test the entire technical solution to evaluate and validate what has been developed from a technical standpoint. Lastly, you will further help designing and defining the proper technical documentation related to the framework.
Main Responsibilities:
Covering this position, you will have the opportunity to define and develop a new fully automated reconnaissance framework from scratch to identify exposed assets (e.g., domains, IPs, ASNs, APIs, web apps, etc.), technologies, services, scan vulnerabilities and automatically exploit the detected vulnerabilities.
Your main activities and responsibilities involve defining the whole structure of the framework and developing each part of it leveraging on different programming languages (e.g., bash scripting, Python, Go and .NET).
You will analyze and try to reproduce all the results and outputs generated by the framework in order to validate them. Moreover, you will perform several technical tests to assess and validate each developed part of the framework. You will define technical remediations (also custom designed remediations) to the detected vulnerabilities. In addition, you will maintain and improve, in accordance with Cybersecurity Offence Manager, the defined and developed framework.
In this role you will identify and periodically share with the Cybersecurity Offence Manager improvements to be introduced to enhance the effectiveness of the framework.
Who we are looking for:
You will bring knowledge from a degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
Your varying levels of fluency in Bash scripting (advanced), Python (intermediate) and NET/C# (basic) will prove invaluable.
You will apply a basic understanding of the most common open-source tools (e.g., Bug Bounty tools published on Github) used for vulnerability detection, subdomains discovery, root domains discovery, ASNs discovery, IPs discovery, ports and services enumeration and fingerprinting, website crawling, URLs discovery, email addresses discovery, credentials brute-force, DNS enumeration, web app vulnerability detection, etc.
On top of this, the key to your success will be your fluency in English.
