The Fraunhofer Institute for High-Speed Dynamics, Ernst-Mach-Institut, EMI has a vacancy in Efringen-Kirchen for a student assistant position (m/f/d) for Web - Development in the department of Measurement and Sensor Technology.
What you will do
An ongoing research project acquires and analyses data using a standalone GIS- System (ArcGIS Enterprise). The next project phase aims at integrating decentralized data units via a 5G into the present system.
Your tasks:
Develop a website/ web-app controlling the newly added units in a device independent manner. In particular, the solution should construct georeferenced logic sequences of control instructions within the network of devices.
What you bring to the table
- Degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or other engineering sciences or related STEM disciplines
- Programming skills (ideally JavaScript/ TypeScript/ React)
- Comfortable with GIS (ideally ArcGIS)
- Independent work, initiative and self-motivation
- Ability to work in a team
- German or English language skills (German language skills are not mandatory)
