Requirement: Security Guard
Job Description: Forge is seeking qualified part-time unarmed Security Guards to implement procedures for safety and security. This position will be located in Japan and support the Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS). PEO IWS' mission is to develop, deliver and sustain operationally dominant combat systems to Sailors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Watch building grounds and property to defend against damage, theft, or harm caused by intruders. Duties are performed unarmed.
- Be responsible for the security and safety of one facility and of the people within that area or facility.
- Inspect the identification of persons before entering restricted areas. Be able to interact and communicate with outside personnel as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all company and base safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the area of responsibility.
- Rectify unsafe actions or conditions immediately.
- Have sufficient knowledge of on-base security procedures, building operations, evacuation procedures, severe weather procedures, law enforcement interaction, and report writing.
- Maintain a daily log of all activity during the assigned shift at the assigned post.
- Document all incidents during an assigned shift in a detailed incident report.
- Perform walking patrols throughout the shift.
- Arrive on time, in proper attire, to the assigned post.
- Have the ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately and be able to respond appropriately.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
We are looking for candidates currently residing in Japan and holding an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Able to stand and walk for long periods
- Able to climb a flight of stairs in one motion and lift up to 50 pounds
- Already resides in Japan
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Military, Security, or Law Enforcement Background
- Japan residency in the NAF Atsugi local area
Job: P/T; Shifts will occur in 4-hour increments, 24 hours a day x 7 days a week
Location: NAF Atsugi, Japan. This position will be located on base at NAF Atsugi. Moving/relocation costs are not authorized.
Salary Range: $18- $22/ hour; bonuses available for graveyard/ weekend shifts
