Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Laboratory Coordinator, the Programmer Analyst provides bioinformatics and computational scientific support to members of the Ribas Laboratory research team on a number of projects associated with proof-of-concept immunotherapy experiments and on clinical significant derived material. Scientific job duties include processing transcriptome data and subsequent gene-expression and splice-variants analysis in addition of performing whole-exome sequencing analysis for somatic mutations, copy number alterations among others. As a part of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform routine data storage back up and data curation in means of reconciling raw and post-analysis bioinformatics data sets with the corresponding clinical data base utilizing BTM-software to harmonize and integrate comprehensive patient derived information. Required: * B.S. degree * Strong background in cancer biology and bio-informatics * Extremely well organized and highly dependable * Highly motivated to learn new skills and techniques * Basic computational skills including executing pre-aligned bioinformatics pipelines * Capacity of working with minimal supervision * 1-year of previous cancer biology and computational biology * Computer proficient on computational resources: CIBERSORTx, HTSeq, OptiType and R-statistical language * Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with campus departments and the public
