About the role
The Research Assistant will contribute to the research activities of the Using co-design to improve accessibility and acceptability of cardiac services: The Equal Hearts Study.
The Equal Hearts Study will use a health literacy-based, co-design approach to identify how hospital cardiac services can improve and measure accessibility for disadvantaged population groups with CHD.
The research assistant may also be required to perform a variety of research related tasks for other Grampians Health research projects including project administrative tasks, undertake literature searches, assist with ethics applications, data collection, data analysis, preparation of presentations, and assist with the preparation of written research reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit participants to focus groups and the Stakeholder Advisory Panel.
- Assist with conducting focus groups (e.g. setting up and coordination, organising interpreter services if needed, note-taking, catering, parking vouchers etc.)
- Assist with transcription of the focus group session, as required.
- Support concept mapping work to develop indicators to measure accessibility and equity in cardiac service delivery
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification or working towards tertiary qualification.
- Proven ability to function effectively both autonomously and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- High-level computer skills, including MS Office.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in research or health-related projects.
- Capacity to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers and other relevant organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative research projects.
