About the Role
We are looking for a BizDev Team Leader to lead the commercial strategy for New Verticals in Colombia, working closely with the Country Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the management of over 120 stores, with dedicated account management for top grocery chains in Colombia.
Your primary focus will be on developing strategic alliances for supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience and specialty stores. This will involve seeking out new market opportunities and collaborating with various teams, such as Operations, Strategy & Planning, and Catalog, to identify areas for operational improvements and topline growth for our partners.
As the BizDev leader, you will also be accountable for crafting and executing commercial strategies and campaigns from start to finish. Leveraging on data-driven insights, you will guide strategic planning decisions for our partners and ensure we act as true business partners.
A key aspect of your role will be to coordinate and mentor the Colombia commercial team, ensuring they deliver high-quality service to our clients and foster positive relationships. Building relationships with cross-functional teams will be vital to ensure we focus on the most critical projects.
The success of our New Verticals adoption, as we complete the integration of Cornershop and scale operations via Uber, will largely depend on your strategic leadership and vision.
What you'll do
- Develop the commercial strategy for our New Verticals line of business, covering grocery and non-grocery & specialty stores.
- Plan, negotiate, and implement commercial activities with our partners.
- Identify operational opportunities that drive growth for our partners.
- Lead Monthly Business Reviews and report directly to General Management.
- Build positive relationships with diverse partners and ensure smooth project implementation.
- Optimize and own the Cornershop and Uber commercial integration efforts.
- Take charge of the Colombia commercial team, providing effective leadership and mentorship.
What you'll need
- We need you to have experience working in sales or trade marketing
- Even better if you have experience with mass consumption companies and retailers!
- Ability to handle diverse partners and negotiate with top level management.
- Good interpersonal skills to relate with different areas of the company
- We would love experience managing teams!
