Main purpose of job:

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve.

To carry out Corrective, preventive maintenance and installation of HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Splits AC unit, Washers, dryers and refrigerators BHC owned Properties in Islamabad and Lahore.

  • Installation of new Air conditioner units
  • Repairing of Electronic PCB of air Conditioning
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for equipment’s
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with FCDO Health & Safety standards
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
  • Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Day-to-Day maintenance (DDM) in residential accommodation and offices.
  • Repairing of electronic Whitegoods I.e. Washer/Dryers and Refrigeration, Dish Washer.
  • Maintaining of AHU and FCU System.
  • When required should be able to Work over weekends, public holidays with short notice.
  • Any other work assigned by LM

Language: English, Urdu

Level of language required: English Basic, Urdu Fluent

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

Essential on arrival:

  • At least three years’ hand on experience on working in HVAC/Refrigerators
  • Diploma/Certification in Air conditioning and Refrigeration form any recognized Technical institute/board.
  • Valid driving License
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience

Desirable:

  • Secondary level education
  • English reading and writing
  • H&S Occupational Training
  • Knowledge of Montreal and Kyoto Protocols.
  • Manufacturer specific installation and maintenance course.
  • Good IT skills.

Other benefits and conditions of employment

For BHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply. For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be PKR 70775 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.

'Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.
