The Yukon's Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team delivers a wide scope of pre-hospital care. We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and critical care in every corner of the Yukon.

Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Superintendent Community Operations, is responsible for supervising and providing leadership to the Watson Lake EMS team to ensure effective and efficient shift to shift and day to day operations of Watson Lake EMS. This includes implementing procedures to enhance performance and to ensure that Yukon EMS meets established service goals and objectives. Watson Lake EMS constitutes Air and Land ambulance operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking skills, client service orientation and a flexible, proactive approach to working with staff, colleagues, and clients. They will resolve issues and problems using strong negotiation skills, as well as making decisions with integrity using balanced judgement.

- Current registration within Canada as a Paramedic. (PCP, ACP, CCP)
- Significant Experience providing pre-hospital medical care as a Paramedic. (PCP, ACP, CCP)
- Experience in managing human, financial, and material resources or supervising staff and/or providing leadership.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and protocols; and
- Experience liaising with agencies to provide pre-hospital medical care.
- Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:
Medical clearance, security clearance including vulnerable sector check, valid Yukon class 4 driver's licence, baseline hearing test, maintaining current PCP, CCP and or ACP certification.
Job Requirements:
Shift work, including weekends and standby, wearing a uniform and maintaining all conditions of employment.
